Founder of AAER Inc. In 1997, Mr. Gagnon recognized the potential of renewable energy in Europe. In 2000, he decided to focus his activities in the field of sustainable development and, more particularly, wind-generated energy. This lead to the creation of AAER.
Since 1981, Mr. Gagnon had been involved in a family business operating in the natural resources sector. In such capacity, he achieved a high degree of success in establishing strategic and financial partnerships on an international level. In 1998, Mr. Gagnon developed a close collaborative relationship with Groupe Expordev, a subsidiary of the Caisse de Dépôts et Placements du Québec, in which each of Bombardier Inc., SNC-Lavalin Inc., Telesystems Inc., Bronterra and Export Development Canada (EDC) had a participating interest.
Mr. Gagnon is particularly interested in new renewable energy technologies capable of creating value for his investors. |

Daniel Charette Vice-President Sales and Business Development |

Mr. Charette has held numerous positions in the field of wind energy in both Quebec and the rest of Canada. In 1998, he was appointed Director of Wind Turbine Manufacturing by Danish manufacturer NEG Micon and was instrumental in setting up Montreal’s first wind turbine assembly plant.
In 1999, he participated in the establishment of Quebec’s first regional centre for operations and service. Mr. Charette was also NEG Micon’s Director of Sales for Canada, building up a loyal clientele and overseeing the completion of several projects, including the company’s merger with Vestas Wind Systems AS. In 2005, he was appointed both Project Manager and Business Development Manager for Renewable Energy at Brookfield Power, prior to joining AAER Inc.
Mr. Charette has been on the Board of Directors of the Canadian Wind Energy Association (CANWEA) since 2002. |

Éric Phaneuf Chief Financial Officer |

Mr. Phaneuf leads the Company’s finance and administration functions and is responsible for its financial markets compliance requirements and disclosure practices.
Prior to joining AAER, Mr. Phaneuf spent seven years in positions of increasing responsibilities with a major international consumer products company, rising to the level of VP Corporate Development. In this role, Mr. Phaneuf was involved in establishing strategies to improve profitability and to re-align capital structure, providing the company with the flexibility to execute its business plan. He also played a key role in managing the company’s largest business unit.
Mr. Phaneuf was previously an Analyst, Mergers & Acquisitions and Investor Relations with a leading Canadian-based information technology consultancy. Mr. Phaneuf is a Bachelor of Commerce graduate from the University of Sherbrooke, Quebec, and holds a Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

Laetitia Fière, MBAVice President, Marketing and Communication |

Laetitia Fière has been integral to AAER since its founding. Her multi‐disciplined training has made Laetitia a major contributor on the senior management team.
Between 2001 and 2007, Laetitia occupied, respectively, the positions of Marketing Director, Strategic Analysis Director and Vice President of Operations, Europe. In early 2009, she was named Vice President, Marketing and Communication. In this capacity, she has also created and directs, the company’s sustainable development committee.
Laetitia Fière holds a BA from Montréal’s École des hautes etudes commerciales (HEC) and an MBA from the University of Sherbrooke. In her continuous quest to upgrade her business management skills, Laetitia is about to finish a post‐graduate degree in sustainable development at the HEC. She has a particular interest in business governance and social responsibility. |

Martin Venne, engVice President, Engineering |

Trained as a mechanical engineer at the University of Sherbrooke, Martin Venne has accumulated more than 10 years of diverse engineering experience. He worked for three plus years at GE Canada, in the aircraft engine division. He then continued to pursue his career with another three years as a consulting engineer for CIMA+, a firm specialising in engineering consultation for new technology management projects.
In April, 2007, Martin joined AAER Inc. as project engineer, and has been instrumental in realizing numerous key projects in the area of wind power development and technology transfer.
Martin’s strong sense of commitment makes him an unparalleled leader. In order to fully realize his management and engineering potential, Martin Venne was named Vice President, Engineering, in April, 2009. |
