Jacques Gauthier

Executive Vice President and Operations Manager, Kruger, Energy Group, Montreal


Holds a Bachelor's degree in law the University of Sherbrooke and is a member of the Quebec and Canadian Bar Associations. From 1984 to 1992, Mr. Gauthier was in private practice as a lawyer, specializing in corporate reorganizations.

In 1993, Mr. Gauthier became the Vice-President, Development of Cascades Inc. From 1995 to 1999, he was the Executive Vice-President of Boralex Inc., a company specializing in energy and one of the main North American companies operating in the area of thermal energy and cogeneration from wood residue. From 2001 to 2003, Mr. Gauthier was the President and Chief Executive Officer of Boralex Inc.

Since March 2004, he has served as the First Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer of Kruger Energy Group. Mr. Gauthier is also active in many social causes and sits on the Board of Directors of Dessau Soprin, Atrium Biotechnologies Inc. and a variety of private companies.

 

Dave Gagnon

President and CEO of AAER Inc., Montreal


Is the founder of AAER Inc.. In 1997, Mr. Gagnon recognized the potential of renewable energy in Europe. In December 2000, he decided to focus his activities in the area of sustainable development and, more particularly, wind generated energy. This lead to the creation of AAER.

Since 1981, Mr. Gagnon had been involved in a family business operating in the natural resources sector. In such capacity, he achieved a high degree of success in establishing strategic and financial partnerships on an international level.

In 1998, Mr. Gagnon developed a close collaborative relationship with Groupe Expordev, a subsidiary of the Caisse de Dépôts et Placements du Québec, in which each of Bombardier Inc., SNC-Lavalin Inc., Telesystems Inc., Bronterra and Export Development Canada (EDC) also had a participating interest.

Mr. Gagnon is particularly interested in new renewable energy technologies capable of creating value for his investors.

 

Gérard Prévost

Director of AAER Inc., Montreal


Mr. Prévost obtained a bachelor's degree in commerce and an M.B.A from Laval University. He also holds a diploma in International Relations from the National Defense College.

From October 1984 to May 1988, Mr. Prévost was Vice-President, Resouces and Controls of Hydro-Québec. From May 1988 to October 1988, he was Vice-President, Corporate Operations of Hydro-Québec. From October 1988 to August 1991, he was Associate Deputy Minister, Energy for the Government of Québec.

From August 1991 to July 1992, he was the Québec Delegate at the National Defense College. From July 1992 to July 1993, he was Vice-President, International Affairs of Hydro-Québec. From July 1993 to December 1994, he was the President of Nouveler Inc., a corporation which specializes in financing for technology start-up companies.

Since 1995, Mr. Prévost has been President of Groupe GP Technologie, a corporation specializing in consulting services for start-up companies.

 

Jonathan Dorval

Legal Partner, Borden Ladner Gervais LLP, Montreal


Holds a Bachelor's degree in law from the University of Sherbrooke and is a member of the Quebec and Canadian Bar Associations. He was a partner in the law firm of Lapointe Rosenstein and specializes in mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance.

Mr. Dorval has participated in numerous significant transactions both in Canada as well as internationally and represents a variety of private and public companies in addition to a large number of Quebec institutional investors. Mr. Dorval has acted as the legal advisor to AAER since its inception.

 

Pierre Patry

Administrator, ex-president, AECON LTD.


Graduated from l'École Polytechnique de Montréal in civil Engineering and is a member of the Québec Order of Engineers. He also holds a diploma from Havard University for the Owner/President Management (OPM) Program.

From 1977 to 1979, he was the Associate-Director of Construction, Buildings Services of the Provincial Bank of Canada (now Known as The National Bank of Canada.) In 1979, he became President and Senior Partner at Delarue, Patry & Associés Inc.

From 1984 to 1986, Mr. Patry acted as President and Director General of Patry, Laporte & Associés Inc. Founder of Groupe Soprin Inc., an engineering-consulting firm that specializes en transportation, construction, geotechnics, energy, the environment and telecommunications, he occupied the positions of President and Director General from 1986 to 1998.

Following the merge with Groupe Dessau, he became Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dessau-Soprin Inc., Until 2001. From 2002 t0 2004, he was President and Directors General of Aecon Group Ltd. (ARE) on the Toronto Stock Exchange.

Since 2000, he is the administrator of the Board of Directors of Groupe Robert Transport and is Chairman of the Board of Directors of the FairPlay Group. Mr. Patry also works with a variety of organizations. From 1986 to 2000, he played an active role within l'Association des ingénieurs-conseil du Québec, where he was president from 1996 to 1997.

He was vice-president of the Board of Directors the Association of Consulting Engineers of Canada. He was a shareholder and administrator for Capital Montérégie Inc., a venture-capital, created by Mouvement Desjardins, The National Bank of Canada, the Caisse de dépôt et placement and the Fonds de Solidarité.

Furthermore, he is the presidentand founder of l'Orchestre symphonique de Longueuil and from 1996 to 2002 was Chairman of the Board of the Fonds de développement du Collège Édouard-Monpetit.
